How to cycle in Denmark

These are the rules.

For many Danes, the bicycle is a means of transport. There are many cyclists on the bicycle lanes in cities - and many locals ride fast. Therefore, it is important that you stay alert and take care of yourself and others when you cycle in Denmark.

If you are not used to cycling, you should practice first - for example, in a parking lot without traffic. You must be able to ride without zigzagging and brake safely so that you do not create dangerous situations in traffic. Adjust the bicycle to fit you so that you do not fall when getting on and off the bicycle.
